This is to touch that part of a sales process that most of us who are into marketing and sales usually get to face. Customers who want more more more and even more.
I was just reading a very good book “100 great sales ideas” by Patrcik Forsyth and he really nicely defined how it all works. That it’s best to say NO to a customer when they start demanding things that are not in the papers they signed. Since I have seen quite often that when you go beyond your powers to make a customer be happy about a sale, not only are you entering a chain of “more demands” but your services and time will suffer a great deal.
Well this above tip is valid all over, not only in sales. But as a customer you can also try to put yourself in a position that you don’t stretch the capabilities of a company or a shop you purchased something from. Be less demanding and more understanding towards how the world really functions.
Don’t go with that “Customer is always right” because NOT all customers are always right. Yes give them the best service, but put your foot down when they go beyond what you promised because you will be wasting your time on one sale, rather than creating more. Yes you would need to keep a good relation with them, but remember not on the expense of your limited time.
