There are lots of things one can do to start a blog. A blog is an online journal that has come so far ahead that people are earning millions from it, with the right content and mindset this definitely is possible.

Choose a platform

1. Blogger.com / by Google
   This is a good choice if you want a blog ASAP. You can add in your adsense system (which lets you add codes of text ads from which you can earn money when people click on it – adsense.com)
2. WordPress.com
   This is one of the most used online blogging systems.. comes with thousands of bells and whistles.
3. WordPress.org
   This site offers the wordpress.com software for you to download and install on your own server (website). I prefer this one since I have full control here and can add and remove anything I wish. Also I can add tons of themes and test out any plugin or things I feel I need.

Remember that to get WordPress.org to run you would need your own domain name, that would be a .com or any other extension (.net, .org) you wish.

To get your domain name, try out hostgator.com for domains and hosting. Register a domain for one year on automated billing so you don’t lose it after one year. Since domain name you register might be lost if you fail to re-register it.

Just get started right now.. hurry up and get your blog up and running. It’s never too late and who knows you might be sitting on so much knowledge that could be so useful to millions :)

I have been a huge fan of Adbrite since a while now. Adbrite is an ad-network like Adwords by Google.

Adbrite lets you choose a campaign, add banners or text ads, and then choose the audience based on country or age group. I feel that it’s one of the most easiest ad networks I have used. The reason I love it so much is that it offers me three options.

- text ads (I add text adds like adwords)
- banner ads (I can add over 100 different banners for a campaign)
- full page ads (I add my mainpage as a full page AD)

How do I market my sites there?

When I market my sites I first search for a site in the same category. For example to market CrazeFM radio I would look for other music sites. Because advertising on a site selling dog food won’t work.

I use the funky fake type of banners, with buttons that people think will do something when they press them and take them to the site. And no that’s not cheating, since I am paying for the banner and for the click, i find it quite amusing that it’s working so good. As long as you don’t mess someone’s computer with spyware or viruses.. USE those fake type of banners. It’s very easy to design them.

Just got back from a two day trip with a few friends. We all went to Geiranger in Norway, and I just HAVE to share this with you guys. From Oslo, it took us 8 hours on the big van and then obviously same time back. But amazing as the scenery was it was just WOW!

The guys I went with were an amazing company and it was lots of fun, barbecueing and tons of discussions on various things :P Yeah can’t get away from discussions you know!

We saw some of the most beautiful fjords in the world, which Norway is known for. So guess after AGES I saw the beauty Norway is known for, although I have lived here almost all my life.

So those of you who are looking to take a trip, Geiranger and Trollstigen are the places to check out.. You gonna love them!

Make sure you take out a week or two for this. We had rain following us on our way there and when we came back, it stopped. So it was NOT such nice thing for our pics but hey it went great anyway :)
